Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Afrinews (“we”, “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with afrinews.app (the “Site”) and related services (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

Scope and roles

We operate a news aggregation platform. We may act as data controller for certain personal data we collect directly. Third-party publishers, analytics providers, and infrastructure vendors process data under their own policies when you interact with their services (for example by following an outbound link). Depending on how you use the Site, we and our vendors may process:

We do not require a user account to browse the public feed in the current offering. If we add accounts or subscriptions later, we will update this Policy and collect only what those features require.

• Maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms;

Each provider may process data under its own terms. We are not responsible for their independent practices.

We do not sell your personal information for monetary compensation as a business model.

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No Internet transmission is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, write to privacy@afrinews.app and we will take steps to delete it.
